Midsomer by Boat

Situated on one of the most iconic stretches of the River Thames, home of the world famous Henley Royal Regatta since 1839, Henley-on-Thames is perfectly situated to visit many wonderful Midsomer locations by boat, and we are able to offer options from 1 hour trips to a full week!!

Hobbs of Henley are founding partners of Passport to Midsomer, and they operate the most comprehensive fleet of passenger vessels anywhere on the Thames, featuring craft that can accommodate from 2 to 120 people – truly something for everyone.

The latest addition to the fleet is the beautiful Linssen Grand Sturdy 36.9ft river cruiser “Midsomer”...the brain child of the Linssen family from Holland, who as well as building amazing motor yachts, are massive Midsomer Fans!!

Midsomer can sleep 6 people in luxurious cabins and is ideal for up to a week-long holiday on the Thames – including of course visiting the many Midsomer locations close to the Thames between Marlow and Oxford.

Your week is totally yours to enjoy, and there are options for Passport to Midsomer to meet up with you at various mooring locations to make sure you get to see all the best Midsomer sites near your location that day.

However, we are able to offer much more than just the full week long experience on Midsomer. Our great range of Midsomer trips includes.

1. 1 hour trips which will take in the famous Regatta Course, Temple Island and no less than 8 Midsomer locations.

2. Half-day or full day trips, which can be combined with road trips to other iconic Midsomer locations

3. Our unique 2 day “Midsomer Racing” package – featuring cruising to Windsor, an evening at the famous Windsor Monday night races (also a Midsomer venue – “Bantling Boy”) and includes hotel accommodation and luxury dining throughout.

There really is something for everyone!!

Please see our “Trips and Tours” section for more details of all the options available.
